Junior Computer Science Champs

Objectives:

  • Welcome to the Young CS Thinkers Challenge 2025 — a one-hour journey into the exciting world of Computer Science! This contest aims to introduce and assess logical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and basic computer science skills in a fun and age-appropriate way. Students will be evaluated on their understanding of number systems, expression notations, Boolean logic, and graph theory through 15 questions. Each question is crafted to encourage students to think, apply, and explore, rather than simply memorize.

Syllabus Coverage:

  • Chapter 1: The World of Computer Number Systems 

  • Chapter 2: Prefix/Infix/Postfix Notation

  • Chapter 3: Boolean Algebra 

  • Chapter 4: Graph Theory


Our Unique Approach:

  • Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • True/False Statements

  • Match the Columns

  • Fill in the Blanks

  • Short Logic Puzzles or Diagram-Based Questions

    • How computers count and store numbers

    • How to work with different mathematical notations used by computers

    • The basics of true/false logic through Boolean algebra

    • The idea of networks, connections, and paths in graph theory

    • Number Ninja (Best in Chapter 1)

    • Logic Master (Best in Boolean & Notation)

    • Graph Genius (Best in Chapter 4)

Category: Elementary and Secondary school students (3rd to 6th Grade Students) 

Assessment Criteria:

Quiz: 1 mark for every correct answer, and 0 marks for incorrect answers.

Rules & Regulations:

  1. The multiple-choice questions are all in English.
  2. The quiz is designed for individual participation.
  3. Participants need to fill in the details completely, or else they will be disqualified.
  4. The quiz duration is 60 minutes, and you can attempt it only once. The test will be closed after 60 minutes of the commencement of the competition.
  5. There are a total of 15 questions.
  6. Each question carries 1 mark. Zero marks for wrong answers.
  7. Anyone suspected of cheating will be disqualified.
  8. Students will be coming to the test location for participation.
  9. The prize cannot be exchanged for other prizes.
  10. The decision of the quiz organizers would be considered final.
