Tournament Rules & Regulations

• Registration Deadline:
  1. The final date to register is July 15, 2025.
  2. If you miss the deadline, please contact us for more information.
• Eligibility:
  1. Age - 15 years and below.
  2. Two groups - U13 & U15.
• Participant Location:
  1. Players from the Bay Area and surrounding regions are welcome to join.
• Match Format:
  1. Single Elimination.
  2. There is no drop flight or Consolation bracket in Single Elimination.
  3. The player continues to advance to the next round as long as the player wins the match.
  4. The winners of the 2 Semi Final matches advance to the Finals.
  5. The losers of the 2 Semi Final matches advance to the 3rd place match.
  6. All matches are best of 3 games using the BWF 21 points system.
• Match Scoring:
  1. A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points.
  2. Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored.
  3. The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.
  4. At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game.
  5. At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game.
  6. The side winning a game serves first in the next game.
• Player Attendance:
  1. 5 minutes default. When the player is fetched for a match, the player is obligated to report to the court within 5 minutes. Failure to do so will result in the player losing the match automatically. Match referee / Organizers reserve the right.
  2. 2 minutes warm-up.
• Personal Belongings:
  1. Players are responsible for their own items. Organisers will not be held liable for any lost belongings.
• Health & Safety:
  1. Participants play at their own risk. The organisers are not responsible for any accidents or injuries related to a player’s health condition during the tournament.
• Refund Policy:
  1. No refunds will be issued after registration to avoid confusion. Thank you for your understanding.
